When Twitter got Atebits, the corporation behind the superior iPhone Twitter client, Tweetie, there was some attention it would retard development of that app. Fortunately, it does not see like that has occured. As this day, Twitter for iPhone version 3.0.1 has just released, and with it arrives suport for both iOS 4 and iPhone 4.
In point of fact, while other huge apps on the iPhone, such as Facebook, lag behind in promoting the latest iPhone functionality, Twitter is one of the first to actualize some of the useful new features.
So what they are promoting with this update? The factual App Store page only nebulous tells the app has updated “OAuth support” as wlii as has a “Stuck top tweets fix”. But having downloaded the app just presently, I could claim that it is enabled to “multitask” — meaning you could immediately switch into and out of the app and into other background enabled apps. The app also has been adjusted for the new iPhone 4 Retina display, developer Loren Brichter claims.
