In the near future Sprint will roll out Android 2.2 for HTC Evo 4G, but it seems Samsung Moment and HTC Hero would not be so lucky.
It is strikes back for Motorola’s new Droid X just yet. Motorola announcement that its next Android superphone would support Android 2.2 later in this summer. Evo fans would be relief to know that Sprint has jumped into gear and confirmed EVO 4G owners that an update for their phone is coming soon.
Sprint use Twitter to announcement the news on Friday, and they also tells about unfortunate news about HTC Hero and Samsung Moment will be left out behind, with no update to 2.2 planned. But other devices that launch with Android 2.1, will be get the latest 2.2 update.
Android 2.2 or Froyo will include of many kind of substansial updates, including dedicated shortcuts for the phone and apps start up, new tips widget, camera features, and advanced performance.
