India may have one of the cheapest automobiles in the world, and they’re going to break new record with a new tablet device which will definitely make those who are on very tight budget delight.

Don’t be surprised if you hear that the new tablet will set you back for only Rs 1,500 (around $ 30) price point. In fact, the $35 price tag is not the final price, India is expecting that final price of the new tablets could be as little as Rs 500 ($ 10)- with government subsidy.

There are no details on its specifications as at press time, but so far the new tablets has been confirmed to offer 2GB of memory capacity, built-in Wi-Fi connectivity, an USB connection, and a low power processor which relies on only 2 Watts of power.

At that low price, it is not surprising that the new tablet will be powered by Google Android operating system although there is no confirmation about it has been announced just yet. The new tablet PC is designed special for students, and planned to be available to students in 2011.
