Pursuant to Apple’s latest ad, “iPad goes anywhere” – anywhere, that is, besides for Yankee Stadium. Yahoo Sports be affirmed with the stadium that the iPad falls by its “no laptops” security policy and customers would not can to get into the stadium with one in their possession.
Tell what? The TSA tells that you do not need pick up an iPad out of its case to go via security, yet Yankee Stadium tells the device is a no–go? The discussion around the interdict was be supported by a message from Spacekatgal on the IGN Boards. Spacekatgal attempted to carry her iPad in to the Yankee/Red Sox game, simply to be turned round at the gate. Unaffected, she did re–get into the stadium with her iPad in her jacket, yet the ban exists all the similar.
While you can reasonably imagine why someone would wanna bring an iPad – or any electronic device besides from a cellular phone into a ball game in this case – the direct ban of such a device strikes us as strange, particularly given that Wi-Fi is available in all the complex.
In any case, if you would like carry an iPad to Yankee Stadium this summer (thinking you are sitting in the shade), you may would like ensure you’ve got a bag or windbreaker that can cover up said device from the security guards. Or you could just forsake the gadgets at home as well as watch the game.
