This summer, Intel appears will be launching that ultra low voltage Core i5 chip. This already mentioned at CES, MSI’s saying that the Core i5 520UM will be available on June, this will be subbing the 1.3Hz Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 and ATI discrete graphics in its X-Slim models for processor with efficient electricity. Acer also seems to be doing the same with its Aspire TimelineX 1830T. Well MSI didn’t provide us with firm benchmark scores though, they said that he Windows rating score is higher on the i5-powered X360 than the last version, with good durability about 7 to 8 hours with an eight cell battery. The price not yet confirmed by the company but predicts that it will go for around $700 to $900 depending of the spec when it hits shelves in the June-July time frame.
